Working at the Fort Bragg Ammunition Supply Point (ASP), the Warehouse Specialist (AMMO) performs a variety of duties which include verifying materials or merchandise against receiving documents; receives, stores, stacks, or palletizes, unpalletized materials, conducts warehousing operations, prepares and updates storage plans, removes material from storage and prepares it for shipping, works alongside with the Warehouse Specialist-CDL and Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Ammo). Maintains a positive physical security posture of all assigned storage locations / work areas.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities :

• Has the primary responsibility of receiving, storing and issuing ammunition.
• Unloading commercial carriers and uploading commercial carriers.
• Verifies material against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
• Delivers materials to prescribed storage locations.
• Properly stores, stacks or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
• Conducts warehousing operations.
• Ensure all assigned storage locations / work areas are locked and IDS system activated at the end of the business day.
• Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment.
• Assists in taking inventories through physical count and records item count on inventory documents.
• May operate hand or power trucks in performance of warehousing duties.
• Responsible for delivery of rapid deployment ammunition during Global Response Force (GRF) exercises.
• Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational / operational objectives.
