Job description

Junior- Mid level- Oracle fusion Security Administrator

Location : Denton TX

Duration : Contract to hire

Pay-$55 on contract / 90K at conversion

Current Need :

  • The team is under-resourced and needs stronger support for Oracle Cloud Security administration and analysis.
  • Significant internal and external oversight requirements (compliance, audits, access reviews).
  • They are in the process of implementing separation of databases..

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

User & Data Provisioning : Manage user access and data provisioning within Oracle Cloud.

Access Control : Ensure users have the correct access; handle access changes and removals (e.g., for terminated employees).

Security Administration : Work within the Oracle application to configure rules, roles, and user access.

Monitoring & Reporting : Run reports and use reporting tools to review user access, permissions, and compliance.

Issue Resolution : Conduct root cause analysis for access or application issues.

Example : If a new HR user is onboarded but cannot access Payroll or approvals, this role diagnoses and resolves access issues.

TOP REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • Oracle Cloud Security (Admin / Analyst focus) :
  • Minimum 2 years of Oracle Cloud experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Security Console and Oracle application security standards.
  • Experience managing roles and application security (not DBA-focused).
  • Skilled in handling both operational tasks and analytical problem-solving.
  • Access & Identity Management :
  • User and data provisioning.
  • Role assignments, terminations, and access removal.
  • Reporting & Analysis :
  • Ability to run security / access reports.
  • Analytical mindset to troubleshoot and resolve access issues.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Oracle DBA knowledge is good, but the priority is application / role-based security experience.
  • Soft Skills : Experience working with HR and Finance business users.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to ask clarifying questions (verbally or via chat / text) to understand and validate access requests.
  • Good communications skills with ability to translate technical requirements to business requirements.
