CDL Delivery Driver | Ham Lake, MN
The Delivery Driver's duty is to make sure all materials and products are delivered or made available to the Crew Leader in a timely, cost effective manner. The goal of the Delivery Driver is to maintain and promote the Mickman Brothers (MBI) mission and vision of customer service to all patrons.
Job Duties
- Experience required : A clean driving record, ability to load / unload heavy equipment and bulk goods such as rock, mulch etc. Preferred : Knowledge of plant material, decorative rock mulch, brick paver products, block retaining wall products, and natural stone.
- Skill, knowledge and abilities demonstrate skills and ability to perform and control all assigned areas of responsibilities. Working safely with basic landscaping tools, knowing how to safely lift, push and install heavy products is important. Must be able to follow instructions and work positively in a team. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from MBI campus.
- Physical : Must be able to lift a minimum 80lbs. Body positions : Standing, sitting, walking, and bending. Body movements : Carrying items, full use of hands, eyes, arms, and voice.
- Mental : Requires measured responses to daily issues to minimize confusion and maximize coordinated efforts. The Delivery Driver should be able to foresee future needs on a landscape construction project and be able to communicate these needs to the other crew members when necessary.
- Working conditions : Most work will occur on job sites. The Delivery Driver will begin each workday at MBI Campus. The Delivery Driver must wear appropriate clothing; work boots are to be worn, not sneakers. Company shirts will be supplied as per the company policy and must be worn each day.
- The Delivery Driver reports directly to the Division Director and is responsible for assisting when applicable, in all duties the Division Director deems necessary.
- Attend all Safety Meetings.
Qualifications
Be in contact with the Division Director whose job it is to make the call on Rain Days or Rain Delays.Advise the Division Director on necessary mechanical issues or delays that could impede the daily production levels and hourly profitability for MBI.It is everyone's job to work with the Delivery Driver to ensure the installation vehicle and trailers are hooked up properly and loaded safely.When requested, assist the Mechanic in maintaining the Delivery vehicle, trailer and machinery.Assist the Crew Leader in maximizing the efficiency of the deliveries on each job site.Work with all personnel to enforce Safety Guidelines according to established company guidelines.The Delivery Driver is to do all he / she can to maximize the profitability of the projects to MBI and the success of these projects of the client.Additional Information
Pay range from $28.00 / hr to $35.00 / hr DOE
