Immediate need for a Claims Associate for our client located in Sunrise, FL.

Reporting to the Claims Manager, you will handle members' claims with attention to detail, compassion, and quality. Your main responsibilities will include :

Claims Review :

  • Set up new claims, create claim forms, scan claims to be processed and process claims.
  • Interact with providers to obtain additional documents for proper processing.
  • Evaluate coverage for claims submitted.
  • Verify coverage via internal system and attach support documents to claims.
  • Send out communication acknowledging and explaining the claim adjudication process to members.

Required :

  • 2+ years of medical claims and / or medical billing work experience in a professional office setting.
  • Knowledge of medical codes and terminology, billing practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Able to read and understand primary explanation of benefits (EOB) forms.
  • A high school diploma. Some college or higher education is a plus
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Strong computer skills with Excel and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

    • In office position in Sunrise, FL

    Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM

    Duration : 6 months with the possibility of extension
