CNC Machinist – Precision Manufacturing | Confidential Client | Alsip & Orland Park, IL

Locations :

Alsip, IL – Day & Night Shift Openings

Orland Park, IL – Swiss Department (2nd Shift)

Employment Type : Full-time, Direct Hire

Overtime : Time and a half after 40 hours (average 47.5-hour work week)

Open Positions & Pay Ranges

1st Shift CNC Lathe Machinist (Alsip, IL)

Schedule : 6 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM, Monday–Friday

Pay Range : $20–$35 / hr

2nd Shift CNC Milling Machinist (Alsip, IL)

Schedule : 4 : 30 PM – 4 : 00 AM, Monday–Thursday

Pay Range : $20–$35 / hr

2nd Shift CNC Turning Machinist (Alsip, IL)

Schedule : 4 : 30 PM – 4 : 00 AM, Monday–Thursday

Pay Range : $20–$35 / hr

2nd Shift CNC Swiss Machinist (Orland Park, IL)

Schedule : 4 : 30 PM – 4 : 00 AM, Monday–Thursday

Pay Range : $20–$45 / hr

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or Swiss machines to produce precision parts to specification.

Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor G & M code edits.

Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T features (true position, profile, etc.).

Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Collaborate with quality, programming, and engineering teams to troubleshoot and maintain efficiency.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation with a focus on precision and quality.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of CNC setup and operation experience (Lathe, Mill, or Swiss).

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements.

Proficiency with precision measuring tools and in-process inspection.

Experience with Mazak or Mori Seiki equipment preferred.

Strong understanding of tight tolerances and precision machining.

Comfortable working in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Excellent mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and communication skills.
