Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Project / Program Manager to work hybrid with our client, a leading global innovator in the electric vehicle battery systems (EVBS) industry. This is a full-time contract role with the possibility to extend or convert based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities : Project Leadership
Lead and deliver client projects throughout the entire lifecycle-from initial concept through post-delivery support-ensuring all milestones are met.
Oversee EVBS implementation projects with internal and external stakeholders including Program Managers, Engineering, Software, Sales, and Operations.
Manage all project documentation and artifacts from RFP / RFI to warranty phase.
Define, sequence, and estimate project activities, durations, and dependencies.
Synthesize complex information into clear project plans, schedules, and deliverables.
Conduct internal and client kick-off workshops, technical discoveries, and process definition sessions.
Coordinate procurement, facility readiness, production trial runs, and launch activities (PPAP).
Ensure adherence to EVBS Implementation Framework and facilitate cross-functional communication and transition planning.
Identify risks, maintain RAID logs, and proactively develop mitigation and contingency plans.
Team Leadership
Set project cadence, maintain momentum, and lead project teams toward key business objectives.
Collaborate with sales leadership on change management, client requests, and timeline adjustments.
Communicate effectively across all levels to ensure alignment and accountability.
Coach team members, fostering a culture of ownership, organization, and proactive problem solving.
Communication & Reporting
Serve as the primary point of contact for all project communications to leadership and stakeholders.
Regularly report project progress, issues, and risks using structured updates and dashboards.
Develop and maintain project documentation including schedules, status decks, RAID logs, and process flows.
Facilitate recurring internal and client meetings-virtual and in person-and maintain action tracking.
Influence project teams to take corrective actions to improve project status (RAG) where needed.
Post-Implementation Client Support
Act as primary liaison for EVBS clients during and after implementation, ensuring operational excellence.
Manage SOWs, purchase orders, and financial oversight of assigned programs.
Communicate proactively with clients about production recommendations, risks, and challenges.
Conduct regular program reviews to identify opportunities for process improvement, safety, and quality.
Capture lessons learned and integrate best practices into the EVBS Performance Management Framework.
Support existing clients post-launch, fostering long-term relationships and potential growth opportunities.
Must-Have Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering or related technical discipline (due to the technical nature of EVBS projects).
1 2 years of experience in project management or program coordination within a technical or manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to build strong client relationships and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and ownership mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Project or Smartsheet, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio / Lucidchart, and Word.
Ability to communicate complex technical or project concepts in clear, concise terms for diverse audiences.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities.
Willingness to travel up to 25% as business needs dictate.
Physical and mental ability to execute responsibilities successfully within required timeframes.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with EV battery systems, manufacturing, or engineering programs.
Prior exposure to procurement, facility planning, or software implementation projects.
Experience working in a client-facing capacity across engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
Knowledge of the EVBS Implementation or Performance Management Frameworks.
