Position Summary
Responsible for leading a comprehensive security program, this role involves developing policies, conducting threat and risk assessments, and overseeing daily security operations. The position requires collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance, manage incidents, and foster a culture of security awareness. Strategic duties include implementing crime prevention programs and staying current on industry trends to inform and enhance the overall security posture.
Job Duties
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect company assets, including properties and personnel.
Regularly conduct risk and threat assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security enhancements.
Oversee daily security operations, including physical security, surveillance, access control, and emergency response protocols.
Collaborate with internal departments like HR, Legal, and Risk, as well as external partners such as law enforcement, to ensure compliance and enhance security measures.
Lead and manage a team of security professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of security awareness among all employees.
Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing timely and accurate reports to leadership.
Manage the security budget, analyze security metrics for continuous improvement, and stay current on industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations
Education & Experience
A.A. degree (or equivalent units) in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Sciences, Homeland Security, or a related field and / or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate security management or law enforcement leadership roles, with a strong track record of successfully implementing and managing security or public safety programs.
Certifications
Certifications such as PSP, CPP or CPD are desirable.
Other
Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)
Comprehensive knowledge of corporate security best practices and standards, including crime prevention, physical security, emergency response, risk assessment, and threat management.
Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, government officials, and industry partners.
Compensation
Base Pay Range : $134,900.00 - $171,800.00
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
