Job Summary
The Scheduler will be responsible for creating and maintaining staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage for all shifts, and communicating scheduling changes to employees in a timely manner. In addition, they will schedule appointments and arrange transportation for elders in the Green Houses and on-call staffing responsibilities.

Ensure proper coverage for all shifts, including weekends and holidaysMonitor and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in patient needs, staff availability, or unexpected absencesCommunicate scheduling changes to staff members promptly and efficientlyCoordinate with managers and supervisors to always ensure adequate staffing levelsCollaborate with HR department to onboard new hires and train them on scheduling proceduresMonitor overtime hours and adjust to minimize costs while maintaining appropriate staffing levelsMaintain accurate records of employee schedules, time off requests, and relevant communicationEnsure compliance with labor laws and regulations related to scheduling and overtimeOther Duties / ResponsibilitiesSchedule appointments and transportation for Elders
Monitoring Nursing Supplies and Maintaining the Orbits Supply System, including inventory maintenance.On-Call staffing responsibilities including after-hours staffing, schedule maintenance, and filling shiftsWork in the Green Houses as needed.Physical Demands / Working ConditionsAble to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, and move frequently during working hours.
Able to lift 40 lbs. floor to waist, lift 10 lbs. waist to shoulder, lift and carry 40 lbs., and push / pull 40 lbs.Able to assist in the evacuation of elders.Qualifications and Educational RequirementsCNA License – Required.
Proven experience as a Scheduler or similar role in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Office and scheduling software.Familiarity with labor laws and regulations regarding scheduling and overtime.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules as needed.Strong skills in using Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams.Benefits for Full Time Employees
