Job Title : Science-Engineer Program Manager (Plutonium Mission Consolidated Support)

Duration : 2 Years with possible extension(s).

Location : Los Alamos, NM (100%Onsite) - Seeking Local Candidates Only

Summary :

HukariAscendent is seeking an experienced Science-Engineer Program Manager 3 to support critical plutonium mission consolidated support operations. This role involves providing strategic vision and tactical planning for a portfolio overseeing approximately $400M of scope executed by multiple organizations. The ideal candidate will have expert-level program management skills and the ability to work across organizational boundaries to ensure consistent, efficient, and standardized operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering related field from an accredited institution and 12 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience directly related to the occupation
  • Active DOE Q clearance
  • Direct experience working in a high-hazard nuclear facility, with a documented record of technical contribution
  • Experience in the design, implementation, or management of support services within a high-hazard nuclear environment.
  • Proven experience in managing scope, schedule, budget, and performance baselines, along with documentation of baseline reports and change control activities
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk management, including identifying portfolio risks, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring progress of mitigation plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced engineering or science degree with experience related to nuclear materials production and process development
  • Working understanding of plutonium missions and production agency operations
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience utilizing EVMS principles
  • Experience working with classified information / rednet account
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion
  • Advanced expertise in developing and executing process improvement initiatives
