Travel Registered Nurse – LTAC

Location : Atlantic City, NJ

Schedule : Days, 3x12s, 13 Weeks

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlantic City, New Jersey . This is a day shift position working 3x12s. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, strong leadership, and compassionate care to a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary :

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care by adhering to individualized nursing care plans and supervising support staff including LPNs, CNAs, and orientees.

Key Responsibilities :

Complete a comprehensive nursing assessment within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans

Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and provide timely, accurate updates on patient status

Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)

Provide patient / family education with a focus on rehabilitation and discharge readiness

Initiate and contribute to discharge planning starting on the day of admission

Communicate critical patient information during handoffs to ensure continuity and safety

Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel appropriately

Promote a safe patient care environment and follow hospital policies and procedures

Collaborate with unit leadership to ensure resources and equipment are available and functioning

Assume charge responsibilities when assigned

Maintain timely and thorough documentation in the medical record

Demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional growth and continuing education

Prioritize tasks effectively to meet patient needs and unit goals

Support team-building and a positive unit culture

Qualifications :

Active RN license in the state of New Jersey

Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in LTAC, step-down, med / surg, or critical care preferred

BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
