Overview
Summary : Under the direction of the Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist and the Administrative Director, Radiology, provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques producing images for interpretation. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Education
A.S. in Radiography or Diploma in Radiography from an AMA approved school with additional year of Nuclear Medicine training or A.S. / B.S. in Nuclear Medicine.
Licensure
AR?RT (N), or CNMT. RI State License. CPR Required.
Experience
Prior experience preferred in performing nuclear medicine exams.
Skills and Abilities
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and Safety
Visual acuity and hand dexterity. Physical ability involves variety of body movements including stooping, bending, kneeling lifting, standing, walking, twisting, stretching and reaching. Physical ability involves pushing, pulling and lifting more than 30 lbs.
