Maintenance Mechanic-3rd shift

Connect Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift for a food manufacturing facility in Colton, CA. This is a temp-to-hire overnight position paying $29/hr. In this role, you will troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on plant equipment, including drive systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and wiring. Mandatory OT may be required up to 2 hours per day.

Pay: $29/hr

Schedule: 3rd Shift, start time may vary between 11:00pm - 7:00am (overnight)

Responsibilities

• You will spend most of your time troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. You'll also:
• Perform preventive maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment using CMMS
• Conduct facility maintenance including HVAC systems, lighting, and forklift servicing
• Perform welding (stick or TIG) for small temporary repairs to minimize downtime
• Service ammonia and freon cooling systems
• Report any food safety or quality concerns to appropriate personnel

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of recent maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing motors, drive systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems including wiring, switches, and transformers
• Documented experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
• Working knowledge of CMMS and lockout/tagout procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AC/DC drives
• Experience with welding (stick or TIG)
• Experience with HVAC systems
• Experience with ammonia or freon cooling systems
• Experience operating forklifts in a maintenance capacity
• Preferred prior job titles: Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Facilities Technician, Plant Mechanic, HVAC Technician, Machine Repair Technician, Equipment Maintenance Mechanic, Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and climbing ladders
