SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC is an industry pioneer in the production of plastic corrugated products used throughout the food industry.

SeaCa Plastic Packaging's Finishing Department is looking to add an experienced and dedicated Finishing Make Ready to our team at our Surprise, AZ location. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who excels working in a demanding and fast paced environment and demonstrates excellent prioritization, decision making and time management skills.

This role is responsible for the plant safety and to exercise good judgement in all operations. Sets up finishing machines for next orders and upcoming orders. Relieves operators and assistants for breaks and lunches as needed. Training is provided to help you grow your career. You will be joining a crew of 3-9 people working as a team to accomplish the operating goals of the shift.

  • Reads and evaluates factory card, CAD drawings, follows production schedules, prioritizes, and organizes.
  • Sets-up machines and can hang die board on make ready tables.
  • Starts / stops machine and registers die cut within tolerances on the CAD drawings.
  • Working off daily schedule to organize materials required by machine crews. This includes returning pails of ink to storage rack; keeps racks in organized fashion. Supplies inks to machines for upcoming order per production schedule. Supplies die boards to machines for upcoming orders per production schedule; inspect die boards for damaged rule and rubber, make repairs if possible; readies steel dies for release to vendors for repairs; keeps steel die storage in a neat and organized fashion.
  • Preps for upcoming orders by staging dies. Inspects to insure all is correct and / or in good working order.
  • Understanding of die cutting and printing tooling and how to repair die boards and print plates.
  • Records time, quantity, order number, on Production Report.
  • Inspects tooling when taking off and fills out die board repair form if needed and turns it in to supervisor.
  • Keeps area clean and organized.
  • Performs similar job duties as required.

Requirements :

  • Two or more years’ experience with machine operation, preference in die cutting.
  • Experience with die cutters / flatbed cutters.
  • Ability to communicate with operators and assistants when working on machines. Able to communicate effectively with management. - Possesses the knowledge to work safely with available chemicals.
  • Ability to handle fast pace and high stress environment
  • Ability to withstand dusty and noisy conditions
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and push / pull at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel or stoop for extended periods of time
