Our mental health center is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Psychiatric Evaluations. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of patients to help establish an accurate diagnosis and develop an effective treatment plan. In addition, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and appropriate care for patients. The successful candidate must possess a thorough understanding of psychiatric illnesses, medical terminology, and the use of electronic medical records.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of patients to provide accurate diagnosis
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement them
- Obtain patient histories and review medical records to gather relevant information
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Communicate with patients and their families to provide education on medications, coping strategies, and available resources
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records in electronic medical records
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with emerging treatments and best practices in psychiatric evaluations
Requirements
Master's degree in nursing or social workActive state license to practice as a psychiatric nurse practitioner or clinical social workerMinimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric evaluations and treatment planningDemonstrated understanding of psychiatric illnesses and their treatmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and other healthcare professionalsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in electronic medical records and other technology used in psychiatric evaluations.
