Machinist - 2nd Shift

Aptar is seeking a Manual Machinist - 2nd Shift based in Cary, IL. This position is fully onsite. This role performs precison machining of parts for repair, maintencne and construction of high-speed assembly and prototype equipment.

Shift Hours : 4 : 20pm - 12 : 30am, Monday - Friday

As a Machinist you will :

• Operate manual tool room equipment
• Perform custom and repair machining of plant related equipment (builds / rebuilds machinery) as a support to the Manufacturing department
• Troubleshoot high speed assembly equipment, and produce spare parts for assembly equipment
• Produce clear / accurate sketches, must be able to read mechanical blueprints
• Perform calibrations, must be able to machine parts to close tolerances (+ / -.0005) using conventional tool room equipment (mill, drill press, chop saw, lathe, push and pull broaches, surface grinder, etc.)
• Cut, shape and fabricate tools
• Regularly clean and maintain machinery
• Must be familiar with machining ferrous, non-ferrous and synthetic materials and alloys
• Must have general machinist hand tools (micrometers, calipers, indicator, edge-finder, square, scale, wrenches, screwdrivers, mallet, hammer, etc and locking toolbox)

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $27.00-$35.00 / hour (plus $1.00 / hour shift differential).
