Job description

A large electrical distribution manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Component Tester to join their team in Ashburn, VA. This person will be responsible for testing electrical components that have returned from the field, as part of the RMA process, to determine why the components may be defective. This will include breakers, meters, controllers, and other low / medium voltage switchgear products. You will also develop detailed instructions to support consistent testing and troubleshooting practices, as well as relay all findings to the QC team for next steps. The established salary for this role is $110-120k, based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience testing electrical components
  • Switchgears and breakers
  • Experience writing testing procedures and setting up test benches
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering documents, and technical procedures
