Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavorial Health Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. This position requires a strong understanding of psychiatric disorders, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate mental health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and coping strategies.
  • Assist in acute pain management and provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as gastric lavage.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Utilize basic life support skills when required to ensure patient safety.

    • Hours (Day and Night shift open)

    Monday-Thursday 7 : 00am-7 : 00pm – this will be 3 of those 4 days

    Rotating weekend every 3rd week – this will be Friday through Sunday

    Holidays rotate on an every other basis

    Qualifications

  • Current Ohio license in good standing.
  • Desire and passion for Behavorial Health.
  • Preferred to have Behavorial Health or Med Surg background
  • Great Energy
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
