Job description

Adelphi is seeking experienced Medication Technicians to provide medication administration services at a facility in Granville County, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will support adolescent health and wellness in a structured environment and must be comfortable working independently with direct care staff during part of the shift.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • Current listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry in good standing.
  • Successful completion of a North Carolina Board of Nursing–approved 24-hour Medication Aide / Technician training program.
  • Passing score on the state competency exam with active listing on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry.
  • Ability to maintain credentials in accordance with state regulations.
  • Prior experience in adolescent, pediatric, school, public health, correctional, or emergency nursing is preferred.
  • Competence with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and telehealth equipment.
  • Ability to work independently as the only Medication Technician on-site during part of the shift.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with direct care staff.
  • Must attend orientation Oct. 7–8 (9am–5pm) & the remainder of that week (7am–3 : 30pm), either in person or online with      camera on.
  • Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN).
  • Safely administer prescribed medications in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
  • Observe and report any changes in patient behavior or condition promptly to supervising staff.
  • Collaborate with direct care staff to maintain a safe, structured environment for adolescents.
  • Use telehealth equipment as needed to support virtual consultations.
  • Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and compliance with all healthcare regulations.
  • Participate fully in required orientation and ongoing training.
