Compensation : $19 - $21 per hour
Your Responsibilities :
The Behavioral Health Technician is a vital part of the treatment team, responsible for maintaining client wellbeing and program integrity. This role involves client supervision and staff support as assigned. You will report to the Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Client Interaction & Support :
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and team members.Provide emotional support and guidance to clients and their families.Ensure client comfort and safety within the residential setting.Document client behavior and report observations to clinical staff.Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.Clinical & Administrative Tasks :
Collect and supervise urine analysis (U / A) tests, ensuring accurate documentation and sample management.Observe self-administration of medications and record details thoroughly.Document medications in relevant logs and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Conduct intake assessments and help with client consents.Carry out patient rounds every 30 minutes.Measure and document vital signs (blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, pulse, respiration).Conduct contraband searches and random room inspections.Group & Activity Facilitation :
Lead groups, outings, and educational sessions for clients.Transport clients to various meetings and appointments.Team Collaboration & Communication :
Provide crisis interventions to promote a healthy residential atmosphere.Adhere to all applicable regulations and ethical standards.Participate in team meetings and training sessions regularly.What You’ll Bring :
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies :
Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with the 12-step recovery model (AA, CA, NA, Alanon).Maintain professional ethics, including confidentiality and appropriate boundaries.Proficient in basic computer skills and EMR systems.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high-quality care.Qualifications :
Current and valid certification as a SUDRC (Substance Use Disorder Registered Counselor) or RADTI (Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician).High School Diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in healthcare or clinical settings preferred.Current CPR and First Aid Certification.Completion of pre-employment requirements, including a criminal background check, drug testing, and health screening.About Ocean Coast Recovery Center :
