Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Specialty : Pediatric CVOR

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 4x10-Hour (06 : 00 - 16 : 30)

Guaranteed Hours : Facility allowed to call off one shift every two weeks.

Experience : Minimum 2 years scrubbing and circulating complex heart cases

License : SC or Multi-state RN license must be active

Certifications : BLS, Radiation badge required

Must-Have : Pediatric heart experience is highly preferred

Job Description :

• Work in a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital.
• Primarily handle big complex pediatric cardiac cases and transplants, including Berlins, Norwoods, TGAs, Conduits, TETs, and ECMOs.
• Participate in on-call duties from the end of shift to the start of the next day shift, including overnight and weekend call.
• Respond to holiday call requirements, especially for possible transplants.
• Be flexible with call switches and willingness to assist with extra transplant cases.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Applicants with Pediatric OR Heart experience are highly preferred.
• Must complete modules, which are non-billable and average four hours.
• Orientation comprises 16 non-billable hours.
• Must be willing to work in other services if required, although the primary focus will be cardiac cases.
• Adhere to required compliance and obtain necessary certifications before the proposed start date.
• Be prepared for potential assignments to emergency response teams during hurricane season.
• Attract preference for non-local candidates and should be ready to comply with local rules including a specified radius rule.
• Modules report completion prior to the start and are considered part of orientation.
• Must have flu vaccine, with medical or religious exemptions available.
