About The Position

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• Cardiac experience required
• Experience with CABG and valve replacement patients
• EPIC experience
• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Description :

Cardiac experience is required.

Experience with CABG and valve replacement patients is essential.

Applicants must demonstrate a patient ratio experience of 1 : 5 in the work history section.

ICU experience does not count toward step down or progressive care unit experience.

Applicants must possess CABG experience.

Experience with EPIC charting system is required.

Targeted patient ratios are 1 : 4 to 1 : 6.

Ability to work every other weekend and holiday is mandatory.

Technical competencies must include BLS, ACLS, IV start, NIH, and cardiac drip titration.

Travelers may be required to float to different units as necessary.

Travelers must be compliant with floating policies.

The unit specializes in pre and post-operative open-heart management, including CABG and valve surgeries.

The unit also manages advanced care cardiac patients with continuous telemetry monitoring.

Additional skills required include blood product administration, chest tube management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.

All other specific competencies pertinent to cardiac care must be fulfilled by applicants.

Candidates must be adaptable and ready to meet the demands of a dynamic healthcare environment.
