About The Position

ID : 73391522 Shift : Night 2x10-Hour (19 : 00 - 05 : 00) Description : PART-TIME - 2 NIGHTS / WEEK, 10 HR SHIFTS WEEKEND REQUIREMENTCertifications Required : REEGT, CPRFloat Required : Pediatric, Adult Epilepsy Monitoring Unit to STAT Long Term Monitoring EEG s (usually called for by ICU or NICU).Skills EEG Hookup, acquisition and software troubleshooting, ability to read basic EEG data and follow seizure protocols. Ability to identify artifact and fix by replacing electrodes / troubleshooting. Able to mark and clip data for physician review in the morning. Contacts on-call physician only for clinical parameters set with physician regarding patient. Communicates with physicians and supervisor well.Skills Preferred : Phase 2 experience, not required but preferred.Position will be within the Neurophysiology department. Office of Neurophysiology and adult EMU are located on 4NW. The pediatric EMU is in Guerin s children s hospital. Both units have 4 hardwired rooms. We use Nihon Kohden in both EMU s and Natus for our floor patients.EEG Tech will monitor patient safety and data for seizures, contact the nurse if seizure detected. Notate on patient study appropriate information. Will work in conjunction with monitoring company to monitor multiple patients. Will ask the monitoring company to take over monitoring when there is a STAT hook up in hospital or when breaks are needed. Epic charting HIGHLY preferred. Check job descriptions for minimum experience allowed. Start Date / RTO / Scheduling Policy - Please check job description for specific start date as they are very firm, and non-negotiable due to New Hire Orientation scheduling. RTO must be listed in submission. No more than two weeks total, and NO RTO within the first two weeks of start date. Holiday RTO is approved at manager discretion. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated. Valid State License Temp licensure not accepted. Valid perm California license must be in hand at time of submission. Any license or background hit requires a detailed written statement from the traveler. License / background hits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
