THIS IS AN APPRENTICE POSTIION LEVEL I- III Install maintain test and troubleshoot electrical systems for the universitys facilities. Install electrical systems according to blueprints in facilities under construction. Ensure proper wiring in construction or repairs and ensure electrical systems are in compliance with local or national regulatory requirements. Perform tests and locate potential electrical hazards for repair. Perform routine tasks as directed and under close supervision. Responsibilities

Electrician I Install maintain test and troubleshoot electrical systems for the organizations facilities. Install electrical systems according to blueprints in facilities under construction. This is an Entry-Level position in the Support track. Job Code : S22671 Grade : S16 Electrician II Install maintain test and troubleshoot electrical systems for the organizations facilities. Install electrical systems according to blueprints in facilities under construction. Ensure proper wiring in construction or repairs and ensure electrical systems are in compliance with local or national regulatory requirements. Perform tests and locate potential electrical hazards for repair. Completes routine tasks under moderate supervision. Requires at least 1 year of related experience. This is an Intermediate Level position in the Support track. Job Code : S22672 Grade : S19 Electrician III Install maintain test and troubleshoot electrical systems for the organizations facilities. Install electrical systems according to blueprints in facilities under construction. Ensure proper wiring in construction or repairs and ensure electrical systems are in compliance with local or national regulatory requirements. Perform tests and locate potential electrical hazards for repair. Completes assignments with little supervision. May assist less-experienced team members. Requires 3 years of related experience. Minimum Qualifications

EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example : bachelors degree 4 years of directly related work experience). Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels : Electrician I : Requires little to no related experience. Electrician II : Requires at least 1 year of related experience. Electrician III : Requires 3 years of related experience.
