Nurse Practitioner Role Summary
The Nurse Practitioner Infusion functions as an independent contractor and a key advanced clinical partner to HAVN Infusion Therapy. This role provides comprehensive infusion and injection therapy services to patients in accordance with physician orders, scope of practice for Nurse Practitioners, professional standards, and all applicable regulations.
As an independent advanced practice provider, the Nurse Practitioner upholds HAVNs mission of compassionate, precise, and patient focused care. This role requires advanced clinical expertise, autonomous decision making, and exceptional professionalism. Nurse Practitioners represent HAVNs commitment to safe, reliable, and high quality care in every patient interaction.
Scope of Services
- Perform advanced specialty infusion and injection therapy independently in home or alternate site settings according to established clinical standards and Nurse Practitioner scope of practice
- Provide comprehensive wound care services including assessment, treatment planning, debridement as appropriate, dressing selection, and ongoing wound progression management
- Assess patients prior to each infusion or wound care visit to determine clinical readiness and identify potential risks or contraindications
- Verify physician orders, patient identity, and medication integrity before administration
- Initiate, manage, and adjust infusion and wound care treatment plans as clinically appropriate within scope
- Monitor patient condition during and after infusion and throughout wound care treatment, intervening as necessary for adverse reactions, complications, or changes in clinical status

Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of TexasCurrent national Nurse Practitioner board certificationMinimum of three years of Nurse Practitioner experience in infusion therapy, acute care, emergency, or high acuity clinical environmentsDemonstrated expertise in IV therapy, vascular access management, and advanced clinical assessmentCurrent Basic Life Support certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferredStrong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skillsMust maintain personal professional liability insurance with active proof of coverageMust have reliable personal transportation, valid drivers license, and current auto insuranceCore Competencies

This position functions as a 1099 independent contractor with hourly compensation based on duration of infusion and / or treatment category.$100 - $120 per hour. Qualified candidates with advanced infusion experience and strong autonomous practice may be considered at the higher end of the range.Contract Terms and Conditions
