Job Description
LEARN, Southeastern Connecticut's Regional Educational Service Center, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our school team at Ocean Avenue LEARNing Academy. The nurse will provide direct medical care, educational programing, and support to students with complex medical needs, working closely with families, educators, and related service providers to ensure the health and well-being of all students.

Day To Day
Provide daily medical care and monitoring for students with chronic health conditions, disabilities, or complex medical needs.Administer medications, tube feedings, and treatments according to individualized health care plans (IHCPs).Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed.Develop, implement, and update IHCPs in collaboration with physicians, families, and school staff.Train and support staff on health-related procedures and emergency response.Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and district regulations.Communicate regularly with families, healthcare providers, and school teams regarding student health needs.Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut.Experience working with children and / or individuals with special healthcare needs preferred.Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.CPR certification (required; training provided if needed).Salary Range
