Description

JOB PURPOSE :

The Crisis Clinician provides crisis counseling and support to single adults facing homelessness, substance use, trauma, and mental health challenges during evenings and weekends. This role involves offering "Living Room" crisis counseling, creating individualized recovery plans, and connecting clients with community resources for ongoing support. The Crisis Clinician works closely with a team to help clients achieve their goals and transition toward stability and community integration.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Conduct crisis assessments and "Living Room" counseling sessions.
• Develop Crisis Response Plans in collaboration with clients.
• Arrange follow-up care and coordinate evaluations for hospitalization when needed.
• Provide individual and group therapy, along with clinical case management as assigned.
• Document counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions in client records.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to create and adjust recovery plans.
• Conduct outreach for clients with complex needs, offering engagement and intervention to improve functioning.
• Coordinate with medical and social services to ensure continuity of care.
• Write progress notes and other required documentation. Attend supervision meetings if unlicensed, per licensing requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION : Minimum required Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Required Licensure as an LPC-Associate, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT is required.

EXPERIENCE : 2+ years in direct practice with individuals facing challenges like homelessness, trauma, substance abuse, and mental health needs.

ATTENDANCE : Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.

LICENSES : Driver's License with clear record.

VEHICLE : Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER : Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
