Med / Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Biddeford, ME 04005 (Maine nursing jobs)

Unit : Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit (45 beds)

Contract Length : 8-week travel nurse contract (January 4, 2026 – April 4, 2026)

Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours : 36 hours per week (guaranteed)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,990 - $2,130 per week

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Call Requirement : 1 call shift every 6 weeks

EMR : EPIC electronic medical record system

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Maine or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience

BLS certification required (American Heart Association)

ACLS certification preferred

Telemetry nursing experience required

Intermediate Care (IMC) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience preferred

Experience with cardiac, acute inpatient care, and medical-surgical patients

Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to medical-surgical and cardiac patients

Monitor and interpret telemetry data for patients with acute cardiac conditions

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR

Float to similar nursing units as needed

Participate in scheduled call shifts and weekend rotations

Maintain professional nursing standards and adhere to facility policies (scrub color : any; hoodies and earbuds not permitted)
