Job Title : Accounting Technician II

Job Location : Norfolk Community Services Board

Schedule : Monday – Friday 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm

Payrate : $19.82 / hr.

Job Duties :

• Performs entry-level professional work related to maintaining financial information and preparing financial statements in a health care environment with multiple funding sources and service components.
• Processes account payable, accounts receivable and general accounting documents.
• Reviews and processes, vendor invoices, reimbursements, and other payments request in our accounting system in compliance with city's policies and procedures.
• Responds to vendor inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable records and vendor files.
• Sorts and distributes unit mail.
• Supports internal and external audits by compiling and providing requested documents as needed.
• Must abide by HIPPA laws.

Education / Experience :

Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through a combination of training and experience which would provide the above knowledge, abilities, and skills. High School degree or GED and one to two years related work experience in an accounting, finance or business environment required.
