Business Data Analyst

Job Location- Remote ( Candidate needs to work at EST Hour)

  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, data teams, and system SMEs, ensuring that commercial, CRM, and opportunity data are effectively leveraged to meet business objectives.
  • Lead the definition and documentation of business data requirements, translating sales, marketing, and commercial needs into clear specifications for analytics and AI enablement.
  • Collaborate with IT, analytics, and AI teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across integrated platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, Enterprise ChatGPT).
  • Analyze business processes and data flows to identify insights, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or AI-driven improvement.
  • Support performance measurement and reporting, developing dashboards and KPIs that align with business goals and track adoption, engagement, and impact.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner in testing, validation, and rollout, ensuring solutions deliver value and are adopted effectively by end users.

Key Deliverables

Business & Data Requirements Documentation : Clearly defined business objectives, data needs, and process dependencies to guide solution design.

CRM & Data Integration Specifications : Mapping of Salesforce and commercial data flows, relationships, and transformations supporting business use cases.

Data Quality & Governance Reports : Validation outputs ensuring business data is accurate, complete, and consistent across systems.

Performance Dashboards & KPI Frameworks : Power BI visuals and metrics that measure adoption, sales impact, and marketing effectiveness.

AI & Insight Readiness Documentation : Curated business context and data specifications to support GPT-based analysis and future AI use cases.

Post-Deployment Impact Reports : Business outcome assessments showing how insights and dashboards drive measurable commercial performance improvements.

Key Skills : Technical & Analytical Skills

  • CRM & Commercial Data Expertise Deep understanding of customer, opportunity, and sales pipeline data within CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Advanced Data Analysis & Visualization Proficient in Power BI, Excel, and SQL for developing insights, dashboards, and performance reporting that support commercial strategy.
  • Data Integration & Process Mapping Skilled at connecting and interpreting data across sales, marketing, and commercial systems to capture end-to-end business flow.
  • Data Quality & Governance Experienced in validating and maintaining consistency of CRM and commercial data to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
  • Familiarity with Databricks, AWS, and ChatGPT Environments Comfortable working within cloud-based platforms and leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance business analysis and automation.
  • Business Intelligence Tools Proficient in designing and maintaining analytical models that tie business process performance to measurable outcomes.
  • Business & Collaboration Skills

  • Commercial & Marketing Process Knowledge Understands sales funnel management, campaign-to-revenue flows, and customer engagement processes across functions.
  • Business Requirements & Solution Design Translates business needs into data-driven requirements, ensuring systems and reports support strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Partners closely with business stakeholders, IT, and analytics teams to align CRM, data, and reporting structures.
