Training Requirements
- The facility will conduct training.
- Applicants are required to take the State exam within 120 days of their date of hire.
- Applicants are responsible for all fees / license for the State exam.
Term
This temporary position may be extended as agreed to by employer and employee. The employee must work toward attaining certification as a CNA during term of employment.
Responsibilities
Fulfill competency standards for the company’s (non-certified) hospitality aide competency requirementsAttend in-service education programs mandated by federal, state, and company regulations and policiesAssist with welcoming new admission and getting them situated as well as residents moving to a different roomAssist residents with using video conference and voice call devices and software to communicate with family, friends, and health care providersDistribute ice, water, pitchers, trays, glasses, snacks, and other items to residents as needed or assignedAssist residents during activities and to / from rehabilitation services and other areas in the facilityAssist residents with choosing clothing / outfits, eyeglasses, and wheelchair as neededMonitor and assist residents during mealtime and while eating foods and snacksBring resident laundry to and from laundry department, assist laundry department with hanging, laying out, and folding clothesWater plants and tend to the physical space as needed Remove / clean trash, spills, and other items from resident rooms and facility Make resident beds, clean drawers and closets, straighten and organize roomsMonitor hallways, rooms, and environmental for safety of residentsAnswer call lights when appropriate and within scope of training and dutiesComply with all policies and procedures relating to handwashing, sanitation, wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), and other guidance from the facilityObserve and report changes in residents’ physical, cognitive, and / or emotional status to charge nurses, director of nursing, and / or administratorReport any concerns, maintenance issues, or violations of federal, state, local, or company regulations and policiesCommunicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisorsAttend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directedRequired Education and Skills
