Responsibilities :
Responsible for the overall success of the Sales and Marketing team to maximize total revenue and ensuring sales goals are met and exceededEstablished client base and cultivate relationships, building business, and provide a stable and positive work environment for the teamSpend a significant amount of time out of the hotel surveying market and comp set / neighboring hotels, researching new clients / opportunities, and knowing the market and its environmentObserve local trends in the marketConduct sales calls, promote the hotel, and review competition reader boards to develop leads.Supporting and Developing the Sales ManagersQualifications :
Minimum 3-5 years of Sales ExperienceAny combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered or other sales experiencePast Marriott Hotel Sales Manager in the SMERF experience a plus4-year College Degree or Equivalent experience preferredKnowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interactAbility to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meets client needs, and resolve complaintsAbility to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspectionsDetail-oriented.
