DPP is seeking a Test Automation Engineer for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.
Work arrangement :
- Partial onsite : at least 3 days per week onsite and as needed.
- W2 position; 6 months with possible extension
- Candidates who are foreign nationals must have resided in the US for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years prior to assignment to the client's applicable government contract.
Position summary :
The typical day for the Test Automation Engineer involves coding and maintaining automated test scripts, executing these tests, and analyzing the results to identify and report application defects.Collaborates with Scrum Team to understand requirements for building test automation scripts and participating in Scrum meetings.Tasks also include managing test environments and data and continuous learning to stay updated on new automation tools and strategies.The team :
The portal group has one Scrum development team of 6 people.They are currently working on Spring upgrades and several new initiates for user facing enhancements and backend connectivity.The culture is collaborative, positive, and team oriented.Hours : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM with a 1-hour lunch, flexible. Occasional off-hours and weekends.Required technologies :
Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Frameworks including hybrid, keyword, and data-drivenJava programing language for writing scripts in SeleniumKnowledge of SQL queriesEclipse IDEKnowledge of Gradle or Maven for integration in test automation projects for maintaining external dependencies and librariesGitHubNice to have :
CI / CD & version control : Familiarity with tools like JenkinsAPI Testing : Experience in automating API tests tools like PostmanUnderstanding of HTML, CSS. and JavaScriptSelenium GridSoft skills :
Communication for conveying results of testing.Problem solving determining new solutions, creating, and modifying test scripts.Teamwork is a must for our agile Scrum environment.Minimum required work experience :
7 years of IT experience to include experience developing test plans and / or test matrices.Required education / equivalencies :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 11 years without a degree)Interested? Learn more :
