This position is responsible for the overall ownership and direction of the agency’s claim operations, technical, operational, and financial administration management supporting Allied Solutions Commercial Insurance Agency’s Commercial Claims department. This leader will have a mastery level of experience in the technical aspects of the Commercial Claims loss experience. The position will require strong to mastery level leadership competencies that will develop and deliver a result-driven operation and culture of financial success for Commercial Claims product and service. The position will require a deep level of expertise in commercial property & casualty, financial institution bond coverages and policies.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for annualized loss and claim projections set by the carrier.
- Oversee, monitor, and investigate claim-related decisions and losses associated with property and casualty claims, managing client and insurance carrier responsibilities.
- Report, track, and monitor losses and premiums to ensure a financially optimized Commercial Claims program.
- Foster relationships and provide key leadership communication with stakeholders, including Senior and Executive levels, sales professionals, financial institution clients, and insurance carrier product and program management.
- Oversee the program’s financial profitability, focusing on key financial metrics including loss reserves and claim frequency and severity KPI’s.
Commercial Claims Program Financial Optimization (25%) :
Ensure the overall optimization of the Commercial Claims Program.Develop and deploy claim strategies to ensure financial, quality, and service KPI’s for the commercial claims department.Work with stakeholders to create key monitors and controls, trending analysis, reporting, and program management to optimize performance.Deliver meeting and communication cadence with key stakeholders to ensure performance monitoring.Develop and communicate loss projections that feed into overall program performance.Communicate internal reporting and trending analysis to ensure management monitoring of the overall Commercial Claims Bond Program.Collaborate with sales leadership on key products and claim benefits for revenue and client growth.Ensure timely and accurate claim reserve actions that feed financial performance.Manage optimized loss mitigation and management.Liaison with Product and Risk departments for collaborative outcomes.Commercial Claims Management (25%) :
Provide leadership to ensure accurate and timely adjudication of Commercial Claims.Develop and implement an effective claims control process with Risk Management to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.Guide and mentor direct reports to manage and develop a high-performing team.Act as subject matter expert for clients regarding complex Commercial Claims.Ensure partners / insurance carriers meet all regulatory state filing and policy requirements.Deploy claim best practices and key performance indicators for timely resolution of bond claims.Develop audit and claim review processes for complex claim scenarios.Report on claim / loss performance per client and segment.Assist policyholders on claims issues with carriers.Key Stakeholder Communication, Program Reporting, and Administration (15%) :
Analyze market trends and determine areas for improvement in key products and programs.Serve as a subject matter expert in publications and consulting.Notify Risk Management and Account Managers of claim issues and trends.Onboard new clients to ensure they receive necessary claims kits.Schedule and provide claims training with policyholders.Lead quarterly product and program manager claim trending meetings.Insurance Carrier Management (15%) :
Monitor Insurance Carrier performance including loss ratio and service levels.Lead quarterly claims meetings with carriers and document action plans.Assess claims experience and profitability to advise carriers.Advise division leadership on carrier performance for profitability.Develop new carrier relationships as needed.Team Management (20%) :
Supervise and support team members, providing guidance on claims methodologies.Allocate resources effectively and identify resource gaps.Train team members to improve quality and service.Handle personnel matters involving direct reports.Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA) :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required.Property & casualty license required.Adjusters license preferred.Insurance designations preferred.8 – 10 years of relevant work experience required.5 – 6 years of leadership experience required.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
