Description :
This is a Progressive Care Unit position for night shifts.
The nursing ratio is 1 : 4.
There is a weekend requirement as needed, rotating.
Float requirements are present as needed based on facility needs.
Daily census averages 38 patients.
The unit consists of 55 beds.
Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more.
Patient populations include adults and geriatrics.
Experience with cardiac telemetry and various cardiovascular procedures is necessary.
Nurses will be involved in blood product administration and management of various cardiac drips.
Isolation precautions and wound care experience are also required.
Candidates must have prior charge experience and skills in interpretation of dysrhythmias.
This role may include duties such as starting and maintaining IVs, managing feeding tubes, and monitoring telemetry.
Additional skills related to patient care in a high-acuity environment are beneficial.
The candidate should expect to float to similar units as needed.
