Purchasing & Inventory Clerk

Automation Personnel Services is searching for a Purchasing & Inventory Clerk for a manufacturing company located in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of manufacturing equipment through hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Pay Rate : $18-$20 per hour

Schedule and Hours : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm.

Purchasing & Inventory Clerk Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist with the purchasing of materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP and ensure timely data entry.
• Monitor stock levels and generate replenishment orders as needed.
• Support the procurement team with vendor communications, order tracking, and invoice matching.
• Prepare and maintain reports using Excel (e.g., pivot tables, basic formulas).
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy and timely deliveries.
• Assist with audits and inventory-related projects assigned.

Purchasing & Inventory Clerk Qualifications and Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in supply chain, business, or related field preferred.

12 years of experience in purchasing, inventory, or warehouse support roles.

Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Proficiency in Excel (basic to intermediate level).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.
