Responsibilities Work in the Float Pool unit of a hospital Care for a variety of patients with medical and surgical diagnoses, from simple to complex cases Day shift, 12-hour shifts, three days per week Must be able to float to various units as needed ICU experience is preferred but not required No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius Provide comprehensive nursing care including monitoring vital signs, documenting patient responses, and administering medications and IV therapies Assist physicians in examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments Interact with patients and families to share care plans and discharge information Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff as needed Must effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs Must be prepared to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification At least 1 year of recent MS / SD experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Ability to apply nursing theory and techniques and to plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services Some computer skills required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-637870.
