A well-established law firm is seeking a Tort & Insurance Associate Attorney to join its Fort Myers, Florida office. This position is ideal for a motivated litigator with at least three years of experience in insurance litigation. The role involves managing all phases of civil litigation and working closely with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams. Duties

Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

Respond to discovery requests and manage the discovery process

Attend and argue motions in court

Participate in depositions, mediations, and client meetings

Evaluate case facts, liability, and damages for strategic recommendations

Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients

Maintain organized case files and meet court and client deadlines

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of insurance litigation experience

Strong legal writing and analytical skills

Licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing with the Florida Bar

Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently

Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

Active membership in the Florida Bar

Skills
