Casual - Specialist, Library Public Services (FY 25-26)

Job Summary : This position champions student success, academic excellence, and accessibility by introducing students to the library and its resources, at the direction of the Assistant Director, Library Public Services. The primary responsibilities include planning and oversight of public services, providing a high level of customer service to students and the college community. They ensure that library services, resources, and spaces are optimized to support student success. This person is often a first point of contact for current and potential students.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years experience in a Library-related or relevant learning support field. Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job

Licensing Requirements :

Hiring Range : $16.98

Preferred Qualifications :

• Previous library experience, particularly in public and student services.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service, especially with diverse populations
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous supervisory or mentorship experience with student workers.
