Imagine walking the line at the start of 2nd shift—checking 5S, confirming training, and launching a quick safety talk. You set targets, coach in the moment, and help the team solve problems before they become delays. That’s the impact you’ll make in this role.
Your mission
- Champion a safety-first mindset across the area / zone and ensure procedural adherence
- Teach, coach, and encourage production Team Members on safe, productive work
- Model respect and servant leadership in every conversation and decision
- Drive continuous improvement; empower all Team Members to contribute ideas
- Confirm training in safety, quality, equipment operation, and 5S is complete and current
- Partner with technical experts to secure timely support
- Set annual goals that align with operational metrics and track execution
- Streamline processes to cut waste, reduce WIP, and improve flow
- Serve as the initial contact for employee relations matters
- Work with union stewards on contract interpretation and disciplinary issues
- Take on other duties as assigned
What sets you up for success
Proven ability to lead with a servant-leadership approach1–3 years in fast-moving, medium / high-volume manufacturing with strong safety exposure (preferred)Experience supervising in a manufacturing environment (preferred)Bachelor’s in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations (preferred)Internship or co-op experience can count toward relevant experienceSkills and tools
Self-directed leader with strong coaching / mentoring and supervisory skillsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelAbility to lead problem-solving and encourage proactive, solution creationBaseline knowledge of process control, production scheduling, Kaizen, Kanban, and Lean (preferred)Physical requirements
Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods, demonstrate manual dexterity, and lift up to 50 lbs without assistanceSchedule details
