Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel RN Position Job Notes : Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of patient population served
• Ensure quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with unit standards
• Must have 2 years of Med / Surg experience required
• New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification optional
• Must demonstrate current knowledge and skills appropriate to age / type of patient population served
• Communicate in a clear, concise manner appropriate to developmental age of patient
• Handle emergency / crisis situations with prolonged standing and walking
• Perform heavy physical effort to position, push and / or transfer patients or equipment
• Work in bloodborne pathogen environment with exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays
• Flexible schedule due to unexpected changes and emergencies
