American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring at least two years of ICU or PCU experience and a WA or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a medical ICU within an acute care hospital settingPatient population includes all critical care diagnosesICU nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2; PCU ratios are 1 : 3Travelers will primarily work in the PCU with required floating to ICU and between Regional hospitals as neededAll ICU-level drips and ventilators managed in the ICU; PCU drips include cardizem, nitro, insulin, and heparin, but no pressors or vents in the PCUEpic EMR is used; prior experience preferredTeam support includes a charge nurse and nurse aides per floor, with RT and pharmacy available 24 / 712-hour self-scheduled shifts; every other weekend requiredHoliday coverage is required, rotating with permanent staffNo specific scrub color requiredResponsible for managing all aspects of care for ICU and PCU patients including administering ICU-level drips and ventilator support in ICUTravelers will receive floor-specific orientation, typically one week with an educator or a minimum of two shiftsTravelers are expected to float between ICU, PCU, and assigned regional hospitals as requiredFirst-time travelers are not restrictedTeam includes hospitalist or intensivist onsite during days and virtual support overnight, with ARNP for overnight proceduresMust provide a copy of a driver’s license for consideration\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of considerationMinimum of 2 years recent ICU or PCU experience is requiredActive BLS and ACLS certifications requiredCOVID vaccination requiredMust not have been employed in any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past yearTwo professional references are required : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years\n Benefits\n
