CSW prioritizes both the physical and emotional well-being of members of the Hampshire College community, ensuring that everyone feels valued and protected. The CSW approach centers the whole person and is rooted in justice and equity, emphasizing non-clinical, mental health support by our team members, de-escalation, and effective communication both verbal and non-verbal, all while honoring the diverse identities within the Hampshire College community.

The Campus Safety Assistant will be instrumental in helping the College move closer to achieving its ambitious inclusion and equity objectives through active community building and safety. Successful candidates will also possess strong communication skills, cultural competence, and previous experience in campus safety and security or related roles.
