Job Description & Requirements Specialty : ED - Emergency Department Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a night shift contract, requiring a NM or compact license and prior large ED and travel experience. Responsibilities Work in a busy hospital Emergency Department (ED) Patient population includes high-acuity emergency cases in a fast-paced environment Night shifts, 12 hours each, three days per week Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required Epic EMR experience is preferred, but on-site training is available No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility Return perm staff must wait one year before being eligible for traveler consideration Responsible for direct patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in collaboration with healthcare teams Supervises LPNs and unlicensed personnel as required First day will include orientation and onsite BCA testing; failing twice will result in dismissal Must meet all age-specific and unit competency requirements Requirements Active New Mexico or compact RN license required Minimum of two years current experience in a large ED setting Completion of at least one prior 13-week travel assignment is required Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required, must be obtained through AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross Must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test during orientation; only one retake permitted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627705.
