About The Position

Specialty accepted : Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Start date or shifts : November 2025 ongoing

Daily schedule : Four 10 hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, arrival at 6 : 30 AM, average sixteen shifts per month

Practice setting : Inpatient and operating room cardiac surgery

Types of procedures : Vein harvesting with Vasoview hemopro system, post operative care, central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube management, wound vac care, cardiac surgery first assist

Number of patients : Eight to fifteen patients daily, shared with the team, primary team until discharge

Ages : Adult population

Requirements : Board certified NP or PA, minimum three years of experience, CV OR experience required, DEA, Maryland license or eligibility, ACLS and BLS, CSR license

Additional information : OR volume averages one to two cases per day, two to five days per week. When no cases are scheduled, APP supports consults and CV ICU patients. Orientation provided prior to start. Privileging process expected within ninety days. Travel and lodging covered for eligible providers. No call required
