The D.D. Reckner Co. (est. 1965), a 3rd-generation, family-owned foodservice brokerage serving the Midwest, is looking for a self-motivated, driven experienced K-12 salesperson or foodservice broker to fill a new sales position in our new Northern Illinois / Eastern Wisconsin territory. Our products are marketed primarily to K-12 schools thru Foodservice Distributors, as well as to restaurants, hotels, nursing homes, caterers, hospitals, and colleges and universities.

Full-time and part-time both available. Full-time is a salaried job, generally Monday through Friday 8-5. Part-time specifics are negotiable.
Your primary responsibility would be selling commodity and commercial food products to K-12 schools. You would be working with a team comprised of D.D. Reckner and distributor and manufacturer sales professionals. Some of the duties include monitoring and moving commodity balances and ensuring their proper utilization, assisting schools with menu changes, getting new items spec'd on bids, working shows, speaking at meetings and consultative selling to school districts. You will communicate with a distributor's team of salespeople to find opportunities, arrange samples, show the products to the customers, discuss the features and benefits of a product / brand and offer ideas to profitably incorporate our products into their menu. The ultimate goal is to increase sales through creating brand awareness.
