Associate Underwriter, Cyber Professional Lines Group (CPLG)

Location : Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid) Position Summary

Tokio Marine HCC Cyber Professional Lines Group (CPLG) is seeking an Associate Underwriter to support the continued growth of our Cyber and Professional Liability business. Under immediate supervision, this role evaluates and classifies risks, determines appropriate pricing and coverage, and develops broker relationships. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal applications to determine acceptability, pricing, limits, and endorsements in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
• Review submissions and supporting documentation to assess exposures and ensure accurate policy rating and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with brokers to clarify coverage terms, discuss risk appetite, and support a positive client experience.
• Prepare and maintain underwriting files, documentation, and correspondence consistent with departmental standards.
• Collaborate with senior underwriters and leadership on referrals and complex risks.
• Develop working knowledge of market conditions, competitor behavior, and industry trends.
• Support internal reporting, audits, and process improvement initiatives.

The pay range for this position is $64,000 - $88,000, which includes geographic adjustments, where applicable. The pay range is the range THMCC, in good faith, believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The hired applicant will be offered pay within the entire range based on the candidate's geographic location, qualifications, work experience, education, and / or skill level.
