Concrete Laborer

Location : Primarily in Williamsburg, VA

Pay : $18.00 / hr - $24.00 / hr (Based on experience)

We are currently seeking a concrete skilled laborers to join our Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc. team at our Williamsburg, VA project. Reporting to direct supervisor, laborers are responsible for assisting the crews on site to complete construction related tasks. Tasks on this site would include : assisting pipe laying crew and other crews with carrying and set up of materials such as shovels, rigging, signaling, maintenance of traffic, chipping concrete, helping pour concrete and other site specific tasks. This position works along with the entire project team to support the completion of assigned construction projects and ensures quality work is executed in a timely fashion. This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction.

This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a federal contractor.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; can be replaced with relevant work experience
• Reliable transportation
• Experience in heavy highway and / or bridge construction preferred
• Familiar with paving, concrete, highway and / or bridge construction and all other highway construction scopes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented
