Job descriptionStarting wage from $16.50 - $17.00 an hour. No Nights & No Weekends. ERN (Employee Resource Network) Member with Success Coach & EAP. Early access to payroll funds. Enjoy hiking and other community trips while providing life skills to individuals with autism. Provide person-centered supports which requires flexibility, creativity and commitment Work in partnership with participants Promote communication, choice, independence, socialization, and empowerment for the participants Skills of Direct Support Professionals : Possess and uses empathy in all actions and interactions Effectively work in teams with co-workers and participants Ability to express patience in difficult situations Ability to drive daily routes in our company vehicles and provide transportation for our participants REQUIREMENTS : High school Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Valid Auto Insurance Clean Driving Record for the last three years. Ability to pass physical / drug screen prior to start date. 30AM -4 : 15PM. Bittersweet is seeking a Part-time Direct Support Professional to work First shift in our Lima day program .
This position is a part time position working three days a week from 7 :
- 30AM-4 : 15PM.
- This position requires requires a valid driver's license & auto insurance.
- Must have a clean driving record for the last three years. Direct Support Professionals help enrich lives and make a difference while also providing you with valuable work experience.
- Direct Support Professionals teach, mentor and positively impact the lives of individuals with disabilities through skills development.
- A rewarding career path for those interested in nursing, health care, social work / social services, education, direct care, home health and those with a desire to help others.
