Overview

Job Title : Workload Automation Engineer

Location : Local to Richmond, VA only please. This is a hybrid position with 3 days / week onsite and a 6-month contract position.

Description : The client is looking for a batch jobs operations expert programmer to conduct thorough analysis of existing job schedules, Tivoli dependencies and configurations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support for monitoring and troubleshooting job failures and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement changes and enhancements to job schedules.
  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures for job scheduling and monitoring.
  • Perform periodic reviews and support audits to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Leverage experience in DevOps, CI / CD and infrastructure automation including automated pipelines, monitoring and operations.
  • Provide on-call support for critical issues and incidents as needed.
  • A junior level developer with prior experience to work with the online team to assist in migrating eForms and WebUpload applications to Angular and Spring Boot technology.

Deliverables

  • Documentation of existing job schedules, dependencies and configurations.
  • Recommendations for optimizing job schedules and improving overall efficiency.
  • Standard operating procedures for job scheduling and monitoring.
  • Incident reports and resolutions for job-related issues.
  • Training materials for IT staff.
  • Required Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Tivoli / Control-M or similar Workload automation solution to automate the scheduling and processing of business workflows across various platforms — Required 7 Years
  • Implementing and testing new job schedules, ensuring proper documentation — Required 7 Years
  • Proficiency with Oracle, SQL and PL / SQL — Required 7 Years
  • Conducting training sessions for IT staff on best practices and troubleshooting techniques — Required 7 Years
  • Working experience with PowerShell, C# and UNIX scripting — Required 7 Years
  • Working experience with version control tools such as GitHub / Azure DevOps — Required 7 Years
  • Prior work experience and knowledge in the TAX technology environment — Required 7 Years
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented analysis and design techniques — Required 7 Years
  • Working experience with Windows and Linux servers / environments — Required 7 Years
  • Engineer, consult and upskill other IT team members on DevOps (CI / CD) and infrastructure automation, automated CI / CD pipelines, monitoring and operations — Required 7 Years
  • Establishing proactive monitoring and alerting capabilities for all components of the platform — Required 7 Years
