The Social Worker must be a minimum of 21 years of age and pass all background clearances.
Job Summary :
The Social Worker is responsible for the youth’s admission, treatment, and transition process while at the STRTP. They provide evaluations, counseling, and education services to the youth and family. They also coordinate, lead interact with the youth’s (CFTM) Child and Family Team Meetings and the (IPC) Interagency Placement Committee.
Responsibilities :
Social Worker will work to identify the services indicated in the Qualified Individual’s (QI) assessment of the youth. When the QI arrives and conducts their assessment on behalf of the referring county, the QI will present their findings to the THYH Social Worker. The short and long-term goals for the youth from the assessment will be discussed with the QI, the authorized representative, and CFT members and incorporated into the youth’s Needs and Services Plan (NSP) at that time.
Requirements :
Education and Experience :
Master’s Degree from an accredited or state-approved graduate school, as defined by the Department of Education, in social work or social welfare, marriage, family and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology or social psychology.
Completion of at least three semester units or 100 days of field practice or experience in a public or private social services agency with a master’s degree or higher.
At least nine semesters units of course work related to children and families, or 18 months of experience working with children and families.
At least three semesters units working with minority populations; six months of experience working with minority populations; or six months in-service training working with minority populations within the first year of employment as a condition of employment.
At least three semester units in child welfare, or two years of experience in a public or private child welfare social services setting.
Must clear a CCL, DOJ, and FBI fingerprint criminal background check
Must have a valid California Driver License and be insurable under the Agency Insurance carrier
